During this harsh time of being stuck in the house, what is there to do? Sure, class work. Self-care moment? What about de-stressing from your family? Here are some of my tips to help survive this time.

  1. Keep a positive attitude toward life: If you are a Debbie Downer through the entire process, then it will affect your outlook on the entire situation.
  2.  Stay on top of your course load, even if it’s the last thing you want to do: Falling behind in class is never a good thing, but what makes it even harder is the lack of motivation. Yes, we may all be stuck at home, but this does not mean we are on summer vacation yet.
  3.  Take some “you” time: What, you time? Isn’t that all we have right now? Yes and no. You are stuck inside now, with your family. We may love them, but that doesn’t mean they don’t drive us crazy. Get away from them, go watch a movie by yourself, read a book or two, take care of your mental well being.
  4.  Self care: Yep, you read that right, self care. One day clean that room out that you having been stressing about but pushing off. This will be one less thing you have to worry about in the future.
  5.  Do something you enjoy:  Take a small walk, but avoid other people. Find joy again in something you once loved dearly. Paint, read, watch a movie, anything you want in a responsible manner. Enjoy the nice days outside by being by your loved ones who you are stuck with!

These are just five short tips to help make it through this confusing time!
