Coping during COVID | Preparing for the Summer of COVID-19

With the state of Ohio reopening on May 1, it makes me excited, but also anxious. I feel that it is a little soon for the state to reopen since we get more people diagnosed with Covid-19 everyday, but it is necessary to reopen.

Phase one is avoiding groups of more than 10, restaurants and movie theaters can operate under strict social distancing rules, and gyms as well. So, it’s kind of what we are already doing, just a little step forward. I hope these businesses keep up with sanitary precautions as do the customers so we can continue opening in phases.

Having to wait outside of places because of the 10 person rule will still make me stay at home until we can be fully functioning again. But, I can wait.

I miss going out and now know not to take it for granted. I’m hopeful that people will realize how important personal hygiene really is, and that there is not another spike of COVID-19.
