Spiker Co-Authors Set of Books on Capital Punishment

Dr. Kevin R. Spiker, Associate Professor of Political Science at the Ohio University Eastern Campus, co-authored a set of books on capital punishment, reports the CantonRep.com.

Dr. Kevin Spiker, Associate Professor of Political Science at Ohio University Eastern, and Dr. James B. Whisker, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at West Virginia University have co-authored a two-volume, peer-reviewed, set of books on the issue of capital punishment.

This is the second in a trilogy of works focusing on issues of either American or international jurisprudence. The first, “The Alien Tort Claims Act”, was published in 2018, while the final work on the military doctrine of command responsibility will be published in 2021.

“Capital Punishment in American Courts” published by Academic Press, outlines the legal evolution of capital punishment (the death penalty) in the United States by providing a detailed analysis of important decisions rendered by American courts.
