Invasions are typically never good, but there was an exception this week.

Emporia State history professor Greg Schneider says his classroom was invaded by university administrators Tuesday. The reason: to announce Schneider as this year’s Roe Cross Distinguished Professor.

Schneider currently teaches undergraduate sections in US history, with focal points including 1900-1945, the Cold War and post-1977 events. He has also taught courses about the 1960s, diplomatic history, the history of conservatism and the history of railroads.
