Change can be difficult, especially when you’re faced with major milestones like graduation. So, this week I want to encourage all of our seniors who will be leaving Athens this May to make the transition easier and plan ahead!
- Apply for graduation! The deadline is Feb. 19.
- Talk with your faculty and advisors to ask about references. You’re going to need them!
- Attend this week’s College of Arts & Sciences Career and Networking Week events.
- Finalize your resume and cover letter with Kacey Schaum (schaum@ohio.edu), who now welcomes you during Walk-In Coaching on Wednesdays, 9-11 and 1-4, in Wilson Hall Administration.
- Attend the Career and Internship Fair, Feb. 14.
- Start/continue applying to jobs or graduate/professional schools.
- Organize any important papers and documents that you want to keep from your classes.
- Start figuring out your post-graduation living arrangements.
- Be sure to have a support system of family and friend in place.
- Confirm your commencement plans.
- Start checking off your Athens Bucket List!
