Are you planning on taking a course at another college or university over the summer and transferring the credit back to Ohio University? If so, your first step should be to complete a transient form and return it with the course description/syllabi to Kristi Conrad in Wilson Hall for pre-approval.

That may not be all that you have to do, however. The college or university that you plan to attend may have requirements as well. Be sure that you have been admitted to that school. Find out if they require a copy of your transcript and if they need any information from Ohio University regarding our acceptance of those classes. It is also important to know how to request transcripts from them to be sent to Ohio University.

Be in touch with both schools to be sure that your transient experience is as smooth as possible.

For questions on transfer and transient credit, please contact Kristi Conrad at conradk@ohio.edu.
