Times-Journal: Summer High School Japanese Program Offered through Ohio University

“Are you looking for a fun and interesting one-week multicultural program this summer for your high school student? Would you like for your student to have a taste of university life in an international setting? If so, please consider the following program,” reports the Jackson County Times-Journal.

The Ohio Program of Intensive English (O.P.I.E.) is pleased once again to offer the “GO INTERNATIONAL” program for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders this summer.

In this program, your student will:

  1. Have the option to live in an Ohio University dormitory with Japanese students.
  2. Learn basic Japanese and cross-cultural communication by studying and socializing with high school students from Tokyo.
  3. Have fun by participating in afternoon activities and field trips.
  4. Receive a certificate for successfully completing the program.

For more information and an application, contact Lindsay Ragusa at O.P.I.E., 740-593-4573 or email Ragusa@ohio.edu. Deadline is June 18.
