Biology Alum Named Resident of the Month at Marshall School of Medicine

Ohio University alum Rebecca “Becca” Hayes, M.D., was named the September 2016 Resident of the Month, reports the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.

Hayes, who majored in Biological Sciences, is a 2010 graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences as Ohio University.

Hayes is currently completing the third year of a four-year internal medicine/pediatrics residency program. Under the combined program, graduates are board eligible in both internal medicine and pediatrics.

During residency, Hayes also is also completing a master’s degree in education in health professions (MEHP) from Johns Hopkins University. She graduated from the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and was selected for the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor and Gold Humanism Societies. Before medical school, Hayes received her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Ohio University.
