“Last year’s Writers Harvest raised around $1,000 for the local food bank, and our goal this year is $1,500,” says David Wanczyk. All proceeds from the $5 admission donation will go to the Southeastern Ohio Food Bank’s Second Harvest, a food distribution program serving Athens, Hocking, Perry, Vinton, Jackson, Gallia, Meigs, Morgan and Washington counties.

Donations will be accepted outside Baker Center on Monday and Tuesday, and at the door on Tuesday evening. There also will be a raffle at the event where attendees can win signed books, gift certificates to local restaurants, and tickets to theater shows.

Writers Harvest is presented with support from the Ohio University College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Fine Arts, and Arts for Ohio. For information about the event, contact the Special Programs Office at Bentley Annex 303 or 740-707-3191.
