On Feb 22, 2014, six undergraduate presenters at the Society of Physics Students Research Conference at Ohio University provided an overview of their individual research projects undertaken during and since the previous summer, which ranged in scale from subatomic to galactic sizes, and applications from micro-scale devices to new semiconductors.

Austin Way ’14 HTC Engineering Physics received an award for “best presentation” from a panel of faculty judges.

Yashashree Jadhav ’14HTC Astrophysics received “Honorable Mention.”

The judges were impressed with all the presentations which made choosing the top two a challenge, they said. Society of Physics Student Faculty Adviser Dr. Gang Chen, Associate Professor of Physics & Astronomy, facilitated the morning’s program.
