Spring 2021 | Study Structural Injustice and Climate Change in PHIL 4921

Students interested in studying structural injustice and climate change are invited to join the conversation this spring in PHIL 4921/5920: Applied Ethics.

“Structural injustice and climate change are interrelated in complex ways. In this seminar course, using recently published books and articles, we will focus on the moral and ethical concepts used in discussing these issues,” says Dr. Alyssa Bernstein, Associate Professor of Philosophy at Ohio University who teaches the course.

By engaging in structured class discussions and writing critical analyses of texts, theories, and arguments, students will gain valuable knowledge and develop broadly useful skills of reasoning and writing as well as civil discussion and debate.

Interested? Even if you do not meet the course prerequisites, feel free to contact Bernstein at bernstei@ohio.edu.

The online course meets Tuesday/Thursday from 1:30-2:50 p.m. for synchronous discussions.
