Students who are considering a career in law or law school are invited to attend the annual Ohio University Law Fair on Monday, Oct. 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Baker Rooms 240/242, 239, and 237.
“Ohio University’s Law Fair provides OHIO students with the invaluable opportunity of networking one-on-one with law school admissions representatives from around the country,” says Larry Hayman, Pre-Law Advisor & Specialist.
“Students will be able to learn about different law schools, their admission requirements, their areas of specialization, and a host of other information directly from the individuals who are responsible for coordinating the admission process, and often, making admission decisions. As an added bonus, many law schools provide fee waivers—which will allow qualified students to apply for free!” Hayman says.
Representatives from law schools around the country will be present at the event. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about the application process and ask representatives about information regarding law school. Students will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the representatives, who are oftentimes involved with the school’s department of admissions. The law fair is a special opportunity to learn more about each law school on an individual basis.
“It is never too early to start collecting information and making introductions,” Hayman adds, noting that the event is open to all undergraduate students and OHIO alumni.
This event is annually hosted by Ohio University’s Center for Law, Justice & Culture.
There are 60 law schools from 23 states and D.C. currently registered for the event. Additionally, AccessLex will attend the law fair. Schools currently registered to attend are:
