The third session of the Linguistics Colloquia Series presents Kerri Griffin, speaks about university policies prohibiting discrimination on Friday, Sept. 20, from 12:55 to 1:55 p.m. in Gordy 301.

Griffin is the Director and Title IX Coordinator in Equity and Civil Rights Compliance at Ohio University.

Abstract: Kerri Griffin will speak about  university policies prohibiting discrimination in the context of Title IX. One in six women and one in 33 men will be the victim of sexual assault in their lifetime (RAINN.org). The colloquium will discuss such questions as how to clarify consent with sexual partners, when, if, and how to report sexual misconduct that has been reported to them, what is and is not considered workplace harassment, and what constitutes stalking.
