Hugh Martin
The work of Hugh Martin, doctoral student in Creative Writing, has been featured on The Kenyon Review‘s website. His poem, “This Morning, We Carry Body Bags,” was selected as a Kenyon Review Weekend Read.
Hugh Martin is a veteran of the Iraq War and the author of The Stick Soldiers (BOA Editions 2013) and the forthcoming In Country (BOA Editions 2018). His work has appeared in The New York Times, Blackbird, The New Yorker, and elsewhere. His poem, “Iraq Good,” was selected as a Pushcart Prize winner.
