Zachery Williams ’15 has worked different jobs since graduating with his Sociology-Criminology B.A. from the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio University.
He was searching for the right match for his continued interest in the field of sociology-criminology. After three years of bartending and serving at the Pint Room and Tucci’s in Dublin, Ohio, Williams recently was hired contractually as an anti-money laundering investigator with U.S. Bank.
He is very excited about the opportunity, even though he cannot say much about it because of the nature of the job.
“Every day will be a new challenge of cases where I will be responsible for identify various forms of money laundering and creating a case to support it,” Williams says.
A number of the people training with him are also Bobcat alumni, and it has really helped him to connect with his team.
He has high hopes and looks forward to growing within the company.
His OHIO Experience
Williams remembers a Deviant Behavior class that he loved because it really opened his eyes to social norms and general behavior among individuals.
He was part of the Singing Men of Ohio for a year, which he describes as an “incredible experience” that gave him the opportunity to meet a lot of great men who were leaders and fun to perform with. “Because when you SMO, you SMO for life!”
“Most importantly, Randy Price was the best guidance counselor and mentor,” Williams adds. “My OU experience would have not been accomplished without him.”
