Seth was a strong man who lived life to the fullest, enjoyed traveling, good meals, spending time with family, friends and his favorite companion, his dog Muppet. He never took a day for granted, saw the best in people and had a laugh and presence that would light up the room.

Born in Athens, Ohio, to Paul and Sonja Jasovsky of Albany, he was a graduate of Mount Vernon Academy of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and earned a B.A. in political science at Ohio University.

After graduation, Seth lived in Miami, Fla., and Columbus, Ohio, before making Washington, D.C., his home for the past 15 years. His work experience at Direct TV, BMW and Medco Health prepared him for his work as a manager with Allied Universal.

Whether he was dealing with the CEO of a company or one of his officers, he treated each with respect. His work as an account manager was that of solving problems and bringing people together. In the words of his co-worker, “I saw him grow his career from a line security officer to one of the best managers with our company in a decade, and he left a legacy we will never forget.”

Seth was known for his warm smile and boisterous laugh. A laugh so recognizable, that people knew he was near when they heard it. His appreciation of people from all walks of life was vast, and he loved the diversity found in his adopted city.

Seth was passionate about his family and shared many enjoyable travels around the world with them. Family trips to France, Italy, Turkey, Costa Rica, and Mexico, as well as Florida beach vacations, are precious memories. Last year, Seth’s passion for travel took him to Africa and a sailing trip around Greece. He was a connoisseur of people from around the world; their stories, their culinary delights, their arts and culture, and the joy they shared as new friends.

He is survived by his beloved dog, Muppet; his parents, Paul and Sonja Jasovsky; his brother, Eric Jasovsky; his niece, Kate Jasovsky; aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends around the world.
He was predeceased by his sister, Laura Rodriguez, who passed away April 25 of this year; and his maternal grandmother, Barbara K. Wiseman of Athens, Ohio.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Josephine Butler Parks Center, 2437 15th St. NW, Washington, D.C.

In the spring of 2018, there will be a memorial service in Athens, Ohio. Following the service, two trees will be planted with their ashes in their memory at the Jasovsky property in Albany – one for Seth, and one for his sister Laura. Details will be announced at a later date.

Many people have been so kind to reach out and give their support during this trying time to the Jasovsky family. They will be forever grateful. Thank you to all their friends and family who have helped in any way.
