Alum Named Partner at Kentucky Law Firm

Ohio University alum Matthew A. Wisecup ’05 was named partner at Kentucky’s eighth largest law firm, reports the Times Journal.

Wisecup double majors in Political Science–Pre-Law and Spanish from the College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio University.

GREENUP, KY— McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland, a vibrant, knowledgeable and experienced law firm representing clients in Ohio, Kentucky, and surrounding states, is pleased to announce that Matthew A. Wisecup has been named its newest partner effective January 2017.

Matthew is a 2001 graduate of Oak Hill High School and son of Richard and Susan Wisecup of Oak Hill. He is a 2005 graduate of Ohio University, summa cum laude, where he was awarded Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Spanish and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and a 2008 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was awarded his Juris Doctorate and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board.

Since joining McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland, Matthew has devoted his practice to representing clients in both Ohio and Kentucky in a range of legal matters, including custody, divorce, criminal defense, personal injury, Workers’ Compensation, and bankruptcy.
