Countdown to Election 2016 Series Begins Sept. 7, 8

 

Department of Political Science presents Countdown to Election 2016

The Political Science Department invites the campus community to its “Countdown to Election 2016” series.

The series features a variety of professor-led discussions created to enhance student engagement with and understanding of the 2016 presidential election. Events will include debate follow-up discussions; several shorter events dealing with more specific topics such as gender, polling, and foreign affairs: as well as a discussion of the election results: what happened, why, and what does the election mean for our future?

Sept. 8, noon-1 p.m.: “Polling and the 2016 Election Roundtable,” Bentley 227

Sept. 27, 7-8:30 p.m.: “State of the Debate Discussion I,” Computer Services Center 121B

Oct. 10, noon-1 p.m.: “Foreign Affairs and the 2016 Election,” Porter Hall 104

Oct. 20, 7-8:30 p.m.: “State of the Debate Discussion II,” Porter Hall 103

Nov. 10, 7-8:30 p.m.: “Election Results: Evaluation and Discussion,” Porter Hall 103
