The Marietta Times reports that Dr. Gifford Doxsee, retired professor of History from Ohio University’s College of Arts & Sciences, will give a presentation on his prisoner of war experiences after being captured during the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.
The presentation will take place at the Cutler Community Center (old Cutler School) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17. Food will be available at the Community Center snack bar.
Doxsee received the University Professor Award in 1986-87 from Ohio University.
