Environmental and Plant Biology Internship Symposium, Oct. 3

The first annual Department of Environmental and Plant Biology Internship Symposium is Thursday, Oct. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Porter 104.

“We invite the entire department of faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, but also all who might be considering becoming a PBIO major or minor and want to take advantage of our internship program. Please join us, and bring family and friends!” says Dr. Harvey Ballard, Associate Professor of Plant Systematics and Evolution and Director of the Floyd Bartley Herbarium of Ohio University.

This last summer, 13 students participated in internships, most of which were part of the Environmental and Plant Biology Department’s newly expanded internships program designed specifically for our plant biology majors and minors. Ten of those summer interns are eager to share details about their internships, the host institution, their duties, and what they got out of their internship, in presentations during the symposium, followed by a question and answer panel,” Ballard says.
