Hello everyone,

This past weekend (7/13-7/14) I had the delightful opportunity to take part in Fairchild’s Mango Festival! As you might infer from the name, the whole festival is based around mangoes, and local restaurants and vendors sell mango related cuisine and trinkets in the setting of a beautiful botanic garden. Complimenting these vendors were live music, wine tasting, mango tasting, and mango tree sales. A mango auction also took place, where people would pay up to $400 for a few mangoes from highly regarded cultivars and breeders. Overall it was a fun and exciting weekend which allowed me to dive into the diverse world of such a historically significant fruit (with great flavor to boot!).

The link below is an album of a few pictures I took during the Mango Festival. I hope you enjoy!
