Don’t want to live in the parents’ basement? Find out how to plan for financial independence at Your Career: From College to Financial Success on Tuesday, Jan. 30, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. in the Walter Hall Rotunda.

This event is co-sponsored with Ohio University’s Wealth and Poverty theme. He has taught a theme course, CAS 2402x Transitions: From Campus, to Career Success, to Wealth Creation & Protection, for the past four semesters.

The facilitator is Alan J. McMillan, Founder of LearnEarnRetire. He’s also an adjunct faculty with the Schey Sales Centre in the College of Business at Ohio University.

“LearnEarnRetire is the information resource for students and early employees transitioning from Campus to Career to Financial Independence. Whether you are headed into your career from high school or college, or you have recently joined the workforce, there are sets of key skills that you need to develop in order to gain great advantage, and, sadly they are most often NOT taught on campus,” says the LearnEarnRetire website.

This event is part of the College of Arts & Sciences Career & Networking Week, Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, designed especially for undergrad and graduate students majoring in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.
