OIP-u Co-Hosts NYT Best Selling Author of ‘Picking Cotton,’ Oct. 20

The OIP-u chapter of Ohio University will co-host Jennifer Thompson, New York Times best selling author of Picking Cotton: Our Memoir of Injustice & Redemption on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.

Picking Cotton is the true story of author Jennifer Thompson and the unlikely friendship she forged with the man she incorrectly identified as her rapist and sent to prison for 11 years.  They co-wrote the book together.

Thompson went on to found Healing Justice based on her personal experience and became a pioneer of restorative justice.

This event is co-sponsored by Healing Justice, The Ohio Innocence Project, John Carroll University, Tiffin University, and Chagrin Arts.
