Over spring break I mostly stayed at my apartment in Athens. My boyfriend is a Marine and is stationed in North Carolina, and he took leave to spend spring break with me. During that time, we went hiking through all the trails in Hocking Hills and enjoyed the Athens area.

We came to Cleveland (where we’re both from) for a few days as well. I had return associate training for the Cleveland Indians on Thursday. There, we were informed about how MLS postponed the season due to COVID-19. Our last day in Cleveland, my boyfriend and I went to the Museum of Art (before it closed), stopped by Chipotle for lunch then stopped by our friend’s before heading back to Athens. Sunday we made dinner, cookies, and a memory book from our adventures over spring break. He ended up leaving on Monday, as I packed up my things and left Athens on Tuesday.

When coming home for the second spring break, I had the opportunity to pick up hours at work. I am employed in dietary at a retirement home. Unfortunately, many of my coworkers were in quarantine since they were exposed to the virus. I was asked to work and pick up their hours because of that. So these past two weeks have been quite busy regarding my work schedule.

This past week, I’ve applied to two more jobs in hopes to change employers. I hope to hear back by Wednesday if not, I’ll give them a call. My good friend is a manager at the one location I applied to, so I don’t believe it’ll be too much of an issue to get hired there. My classes have been a bit heavy, but I’ve been getting things in order. Hopefully, next week is less stressful!
