Ohio University’s Environmental & Plant Biology Department hosted its annual Graduate Symposium on Friday, Sept. 13.

New graduate student Roseanna “Anna” Crowell gave an oral presentation on her undergraduate work on organelle genomes of Nitzschia palea and Durinskia baltica.

Crowell along with Peifeng Yu, Kelsey N.Bryant, and Anne L. Sternberger gave 15-minute oral presentations during the symposium. Crowell, Bryant and Sternberger are  Environmental and Plant Biology students, and Yu is a Molecular and Cellular Biology student. Ten additional students gave poster presentations of their research following the oral presentations.
