DART event: Interesting in Community Organizing?

DART will hold an online info session on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. to discuss careers in community organizing. All Ohio University students and alumni are welcome, particularly those graduating before August 2020.

“OHIO alum Lori Boegershausen was hired after attending our info session last fall. We would love to add another OU grad in 2020,” says Sarah Storar, DART Associate Recruiter and Training Coordinator.

DART organizations unite congregations to work for social, economic and racial justice, including:

  • Plugging the school-to-prison pipeline
  • Reining in predatory lending practices
  • Expanding access to primary health and dental care
  • Prioritizing funding for affordable housing and job training
  • Fighting for immigrants’ rights
  • Police accountability

Positions start Jan. 13, 2020 in:

  • Florida: St. Petersburg, Lakeland, West Palm Beach
  • Indiana: Evansville
  • Kansas: Lawrence

Positions start Aug. 10, 2020 in:

  • Florida: Tampa, Lakeland, Daytona Beach
  • Kansas: Lawrence
  • Kentucky:  Louisville, Lexington
  • South Carolina: Charleston

Starting salary $39,064 per year plus benefits.
