The Linguistics Department at Ohio University announces the fall 2019 colloquia schedule.

Sept. 6: Surviving the first year of graduate school – Panel Discussion

Sept. 13: e-Portfolio: Digital Representation of Professional Self – Dr. Joe Lee, Ohio University

Sept. 20: University policies prohibiting discrimination in the context of Title IX – Ms. Kerri Griffen, Ohio University

Sept. 27: L2 Motivation, Anxiety and Intended Effort among learners of African languages in the United States –  Magdalyne Oguti Akiding, Michigan State University

Oct. 11: The Basics of Research – Dr. Edna Lima, Ohio University

Oct. 18: Qualitative Methods in Linguistics – Dr. Dawn Bikowski, Ohio University

Oct. 25: Forensic Linguistics – Dr. James Stratman, University of Colorado, Denver

Nov. 1: Quantitative Methods in Linguistics – Kathryn Hille, Ohio University

These will be held in Gordy Hall, room 301 from 12:55pm to 1:50pm.
