The Food Studies theme, in partnership with Community Food Initiatives, hosted the 3rd Discovery Kitchen Workshop on campus this spring semester.

Both Food Studies and CFI are excited by the success of the four-part Discovery Kitchen Workshop series.

The third workshop was held on Thursday, March 28, and featured a sweet potato and kale curry, using local ingredients, and showcasing how to incorporate seasonal produce into delicious meals.

The Discovery Kitchen Workshops attract various students and community members, and never fail to provide everyone with a tasty meal to enjoy at the end, and a recipe to take home.

Utilizing the McCracken Hall kitchen and Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism students and professor Thom Stevenson, the workshops benefit from a modern classroom space and professional cooking tips and techniques.

As the weather warms, and more regional produce becomes available, the fourth and final workshop should be the best one yet. Interested in attending? The event is open to all and will be held on April 25 at 5 p.m. in McCracken Hall 120.
