A Facebook video titled “In My Fillings” by Ohio University alum Dr. Rich Constantine has gone viral, amassing more than 46 million views.

“A Greenville dentist has taken the internet (and “hearts” of women everywhere) by storm after his dental practice posted a video of him doing the Drake-inspired ‘In My Feelings’ challenge,” reports scarymommy.com.

Constantine earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences Pre-Dentistry from the College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio University. He owns Constantine Dental in Greenville, S.C. His wife, Tricia Constantine ’04, graduated from the Patton College of Education at OHIO.

“Till the other day, I was just known for some wedding dancing and doing dance battles with my wife Trish at home in the living room…. This is all about people realizing that going to the dentist can be fun and to realize that we’re just here to make you smile,” Constantine says in a follow-up video.

London’s Daily Mail lead an Associated Press story with the headline “‘In My Fillings’: Hunky South Carolina dentist goes viral with his surgery dance to reworked Drake song.”

Speaking on Good Morning America on Monday morning he said he just wanted to calm his patients’ nerves by doing a fun dance and joining in on a viral challenge. Now he’s reaching tens of millions.

‘You know we get that coming to the dentist isn’t always something that people look forward to, but feel that the more our patients get to know us and see a side of us that they may not otherwise see.”

“I’m very thankful that I have the opportunity to be a dentist. Each day I have the opportunity to improve not only the health of my patients, but in some cases I’m able to make a positive difference for a patient that will affect the rest of their life. Every day I look forward to seeing a patient that has been reluctant to come to the dentist because of a previous bad experience or a patient that is unhappy with their smile. It is very rewarding to be able to give that person the smile they deserve. I do this in hopes that they will share that smile with others. I see daily the positive impact that a smile can have. At the end of the day, I want my patients to know that they are being treated by a team that has their best interests at heart, he says on the Constantine Dental website.
