The 35th Midcontinent Paleobotanical Colloquium is being held at Ohio University from June 1-3, hosted by Environmental & Plant Biology faculty with a keynote by an alumna.

MPC has been held annually since 1983 and is hosted by a different institution each year. This year’s meeting will feature a daylong session of oral and poster presentations in Porter Hall on the Athens campus on June 2 and will provide an opportunity for the reunion of former Ohio University paleobotany students.

Students, postdocs, and professionals who are involved in or interested in paleobotanical research are invited to attend the Midcontinent Paleobotanical Colloquium, with student presenters especially encouraged to participate.

  • See the MPC website for information about the meeting schedule, abstract submission details, housing, and registration rates.
  • Abstracts are due by April 28, and registration closes on May 11.
  • Questions about the colloquium should be directed to Dr. Liz Hermsen at hermsen@ohio.edu.
