Summer & Fall 2018 | How Food Works in the Community Internships

The Food Studies theme offers summer and fall internship opportunities that can be specialized to students’ interests. Past interns have worked with the Plant Biology Learning Garden, learned how to bake with local food producers, created multimedia projects, and much more.

CAS 4911 How Food Works in the Community

Description: The course provides opportunities for students who wish to understand how food works in the community. No prior background or training in food studies is required. Students work with local organizations on a broad set of issues connected to food security, production, processing, marketing, distribution, consumption, composting, food choices, and food culture.
