Welcome to Week 6 of The OPIE Zone Newsletter. Here the important events happening during the sixth week of the semester.

Culture of Food Discussion and Potluck

Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 4:30-6 p.m.

This will be the last workshop with the American students. It is a potluck, which means everyone will bring food to share. Participants will have a discussion about food in their various countries. OPIE Intermediate Students and PDPI participants are required to attend.

Where: Basement of the Church of Good Shepherd

Materials: Bring a dish of food from your country to share.

Mid-Session Evaluation

This week you will receive mid-session evaluations in each of your classes. The mid-session evaluations will give you information about the work you have done during the first part (usually five or six weeks) of the semester so that you can continue to do as well or better during the remaining weeks.  Your instructors will meet with you to go over this information.

OPIE Ambassadors Debate Teams

The OPIE Ambassadors are forming debate teams for an upcoming debate competition that they will be organizing. They will be coming to your classes to recruit you into their various teams. Please kindly cooperate with them. This is another learning opportunity.
