The Psychology Colloquium series presents Dr. Matthew Vess on “Recognizing Bad Faith: Exploring How People Subjectively Experience the Awareness of Authentic Selves” on Friday, Jan. 26, at 11:50 a.m. in Porter 102.

Vess is an Associate Professor for the Department of Psychology at Texas A&M University. He received his doctorate degree in Social Psychology and Personality from the University of Missouri in 2010. He received his BA from Ohio University in 2004 and is also a former faculty member of Ohio University.

His research broadly focuses on the psychological processes and consequences associated with people’s efforts to manage existential concerns, including concerns about personal identity, meaning, and mortality.
