Career Corner | Meteorology Club Offers Free Programming Course in Python

Graphic representing Python programming code

Programming is a valuable skill in almost every field of STEM, with Python being one of the most commonly used and powerful languages of all. Python has uses in research, website design, and so much more due to it adaptability. So the Ohio University Meteorology Club has decided to create its own tutorial to get more students that experience.

Their plan is to keep it simple, informative, and hopefully fun! The tutorial through CodeAcademy is free; no former programming experience is required. And it will only require two-to-three hours per week to complete in 12 weeks.

If you are interested in joining, please fill out the Google Form or email Kevin Thiel at kt815013@ohio.edu to receive more information.

The first meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 6 p.m in Clippinger Hall Room 119.
