Summer can be a great time to catch up on your sleep, travel, or hang out with old friends, right? That may be true but summer is also a great time to take courses! Taking summer courses can help you catch up on credit hours if you are behind, complete re-takes to boost your GPA, or help you graduate early. If you’re lucky enough to experience Athens in the summertime, you have the added benefit of smaller class sizes and peace and quiet, coupled with beautiful surroundings. However, there are also a lot of online and regional campus options if you’ll be back home. The summer schedule is now available through the Course Offerings page and you can register for these classes through your student portal just like any other term. There is no hold placed for summer courses so you don’t necessarily need to meet with an advisor but we always encourage you to come see us! Also, be sure to talk to financial aid about how taking summer courses could affect your funding and if your funding will cover any potential re-takes due to the recent changes with federal aid.
