Summer 2017 | Food in Sicily Info Session, Feb. 1

 

Office of Global Opportunities Food in Sicily. Spend sumemr on the Mediterranean's largest island! Earn Your J-Comp!

For the second summer, the Food Studies theme and the Office of Global Opportunities is offering the Food in Sicily summer study abroad.

Students will spend three weeks exploring the food system on the Mediterranean’s largest island. This study away experience counts for the Junior Composition requirement.

There is an info session on Feb. 1 from 4-5 p.m. in Baker 226. Come learn more about this amazing course as well as financial aid that is available.

The application deadline is Feb. 13.

Courses and Credits

Students choose 1 course from each group for a total of 2 courses (6 credits)

  • Group 1: ENG 3080J and ENG 3850
  • Group 2: LING 2750, 3880, LING 4990 and LING 5880

Excursions

Visits to Catania, Syracuse, and Ragusa. Spend time on the beach. Visit UNESCO world heritage sites and visit Greek temples.
