Here’s a horrific scenario. You finally reach your last semester at Ohio University and are ready for the world. You applied for graduation and to the graduate program or job of your dreams. Then you get an email stating that you are missing a requirement and won’t be able to graduate this semester.

Should’ve had a graduation check!

Graduation checks give you piece of mind and help you to ensure that you are meeting all of your requirements BEFORE you apply to graduate. So avoid being denied and stop in to Wilson Hall today.

Graduation checks can be completed at the Undergraduate Student Affairs Office in Wilson Hall (College Green). You can stop in during our regular walk-in hours on Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. and Thursdays from 1-4 p.m., or call to schedule an appointment at 740-593-2845.

Here are just a few pointers:

  • Have your first graduation check completed during junior year and follow up in subsequent terms. It’s OK to have multiple graduation checks!
  • Do not wait until your anticipated graduation term to complete a check because issues do arise! If you are unable to resolve those issues in time that could mean an additional semester and tuition.
  • When meeting with an adviser for your check, ask if you can map out your remaining courses and take the opportunity to look for any minors or certificates that you can complete.
