Professors Surender Jain and Leonid Bokut

The second International Conference on Algebra honors two professors, including Ohio University’s Dr. Surender K. Jain, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Mathematics.

The second International Conference on Algebra in Honour of Leonid Bokut and Surender K. Jain is Aug. 26-29 in Turkey.

“The center of the conference is to bring together researchers and scientists working in the all branches of Algebra,” says the conference website. “The proposed technical programme of the conference will include contributed talks and keynote lectures. This second annual meeting aims to present our special thankfulness to Professor Leonid Bokut and Professor Surrender K. Jain. It is very obvious that not only their studies pointed very unique developments in algebra but also their personalities are one of the best examples in worldwide. Therefore all algebraist (included not working in the same field of these respectable professors) are all welcome in this honorific conference.”

About Dr. Surender K. Jain

Distinguished Professor S. K. Jain served Ohio University, Department of Mathematics from 1970 to 2009. He also served as Director of Center of Ring Theory and its Applications from 2001 to 2009. Before joining the faculty at Ohio University, he was a Reader in Mathematics at the University of Delhi (1965-70). Currently, he is an Advisor and Distinguished Adjunct Professor at King AbdulazizUniversity, Jeddah, SA. Read more about his accomplishments on the conference website.
