Our mission is to provide the students of Ohio University with quality, affordable legal services and to help students reach a satisfactory resolution for their issue so they can concentrate on their education. We also strive to educate students on their legal rights and responsibilities as citizens of their city, state and country. We want every student to be aware of their legal rights and responsibilities to lessen the chances of needing an attorney.

“Students who serve on the center’s board gain valuable non-profit management experience,” said Larry Hayman, Center for Law, Justice & Culture Pre-Law Specialist and adviser to the CSLS’s Board of Directors. “Board members also play a vital role in furthering the CSLS’s mission, and ensuring its continuing existence. CSLS is such an incredible resource for OHIO students to have here in Athens,” Hayman said.

“Probably the greatest perk of board membership is working so closely with famed criminal defense lawyer and the center’s Managing Attorney, Patrick McGee. Students, especially those interested in law, will gain valuable practical knowledge about managing a legal practice.”
