Foundations: First-Year Leadership Experience

How will you leave your mark on Ohio?

Foundations for First-Year Students is a program designed to provide first-year students with opportunities to advance their knowledge and training in leadership development.

  • Learn leadership strengths.
  • Improve communication skills.
  • Develop a personal mission statement.
  • Connect with student leaders.

This is a recognizable leadership development program that is exclusively available to select first-year students.

The Monday cohort begins March 14, 6:30-8:30 p.m. The Thursday cohort begins March 17, 6:30-8:30 p.m. All sessions held in the Amanda J. Cunningham Leadership Center, Baker 366. Students don’t need to register to take part. Simply show up at the Monday or Thursday cohort.

Through participation in this six-week certificate bearing program, students will gain the opportunity to meet other first-year students, better define their own leadership style, and develop leadership styles and habits that will prepare them to be leaders at Ohio University.

  • Your Leadership Strengths
  • Leading Yourself
  • Leading Others
  • Habits of Leadership
  • Leaving a Legacy at OHIO
