Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with ‘The Liberator,’ Oct. 16

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Spanish Club and the national Spanish honor society Sigma Delta Pi  present The Liberator (2014), a film offering a fresh perspective on the military career of Simón Bolívar, hero of the Latin American independence movement, on Friday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. in Scripps 111 (Scripps Auditorium).

Libertador (The Liberator) journeys through the impassioned struggle of Simón Bolívar’s (Édgar Ramírez) fight for independence in Latin America from Spain and his vision of a united South American nation.
