As a busy college student it’s incredibly important to de-stress.
If you feel yourself starting to stress out or become anxious, try taking a few deep breaths (in through your nose, out through your mouth). Make sure to focus on your breath.
Some other tricks are to step away from the screen. (This includes your phone!) Listen to music; take a walk or find another way to exercise; watch a funny YouTube video (releases endorphins); look at cute cat pictures online; repeat a relaxing phrase, or take a mental vacation by visualizing a relaxing location.
Counseling and Psychological Services also recommends these guided meditations.
