Panel on Green Jobs, March 26

A Green Jobs panel takes place on Thursday March 26, 6:30-8:30 in the Baker Center Amanda Cunningham Leadership Center, Room 366.

Sustainability Studies logoThe evening will allow attendees to learn about opportunities in the green jobs sector while panelists will discuss their educational and job pathways.

“The evening is an opportunity for students and job seekers to learn about employment opportunities available in the green jobs sector while learning directly from working people about their job seeking process,” says Loraine McCosker, academic adviser in Environmental Studies at the Voinovich School for Leadership and Public Affairs.

Panelists include: Joe Brehm, Rural Action Environmental Education; Sarah Conley-Ballew, Upgrade Athens; Neil Waggoner, Beyond Coal campaign national Sierra Club; Tim Mace, Dovetail Solar and Wind; Andrea Reany, Community Food Initiatives; Scott Miller, Consortium for Energy, Economics and the Environment, Voinovich School; and Geoff Dabelko, Environmental Studies Director.

The event is open to the university and regional community. Pizza is provided.

The panel is hosted by the Sustainability Studies theme, Environmental Studies in the Voinovich School for Leadership and Public Affairs, and the University College Common Experience Project on Sustainability.
