Political Science Alum Named Legal Elite in Alabama

Barnes Alford announced that five attorneys, including Ohio University alum David G. Wolff, have been selected by Greater Columbia (AL) Business Monthly as Midlands Legal Elites, reports WFSA 12.

The magazine selected the top Columbia-area attorneys in 20 practice areas. The selections were published in the magazines October 2014 issue (also its 25th anniversary issue). The honorees will be recognized at a reception on Oct. 29, 2014, at the Blue Marlin.

Wolff graduated cum laude from Ohio University in 1971 with a B.A. degree in Government. He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1975. His practice areas include real estate, banking and corporate matters.

“Wolff currently serves as a Managing Partner of the firm. His practice is devoted to real estate, banking and corporate matters, with particular emphasis on commercial real estate. His real estate practice includes representation of lenders and developers in all types of projects, including shopping centers, lifestyle centers, hotels, office buildings, apartments, condominiums, golf courses and residential developments. His responsibilities typically include handling land acquisitions, construction and permanent financing, title review, document preparation and review, legal opinions, environmental issues, property leasing, and sales. Mr. Wolff frequently acts as local counsel for lenders and borrowers in connection with multi-state secured lending transactions. His banking practice includes serving as bank counsel in connection with secured lending transactions. His corporate practice includes the representation of business clients in the areas of formation, compliance, contracts, real estate, and financing,” according to his bio.
