Job Posting: Pre-Law Specialist for the Center of Law Justice & Culture

The Ohio University Center for Law, Justice & Culture invites applications for a Pre-Law Specialist to provide pre-law advising and help build our law & society program. Apply by July 21.

The successful candidate will act as pre-law adviser, providing professional advising services to Ohio University students who are considering law school and law-related careers.

Specific responsibilities include: providing professional advising on law school programs, application procedures, LSAT preparations, internship placements, career networking, and job opportunities; coordinating law school fairs; organizing campus visits by regional law school representatives; coordinating with the national pre-law organization; participating in recruitment activities; and tracking data on law school admissions and placements.

The successful candidate will also work directly with the CLJC Director to provide academic support to the Center by mentoring CLJC certificate students; identifying and establishing internship placements; maintaining linkages with regional and national law and society programs; managing relations with alumni in legal professions; facilitating fundraising and development; coordinating CLJC events; and grantwriting for program development.
