The Society of Physics Students (SPS), an undergraduate student organization within the Department of Physics and Astronomy, hosts its 6th Annual SPS Research Conference this Saturday, Feb 22, at 10 a.m. in Walter Hall 245.

Six presenters will provide an overview of their individual research projects, which range in scale from subatomic to galactic sizes, and applications from micro-scale devices to new semi-conductors.

SPS President Samantha Thrush ’15 Honors Tutorial College and Astrophysics Major explains, “Our physics and astronomy professors attend our conference and provide feedback, as well as choose the first place prize-winner for best presentation. They’re really supportive and everyone learns a lot on a Saturday morning!”
