Ben Hicks
Ben holds a Ph.D. in Classics from Rutgers University where he completed his dissertation in May 2011 (The Process of Imperial Decision-Making from Augustus to Trajan). He comes to Ohio University after teaching at Rutgers-New Brunswick and Rutgers-Newark. Ben’s areas of academic interest include ancient religions, the early Principate, and Roman legal history. He hopes to pursue several of these areas of research in the upcoming year while teaching Latin and ancient civilizations courses. Ben, a native of North Carolina, and his wife Allie look forward to getting to know the OU community!
