‘Travel Ban’ Countries Film Series | A Separation, Nov. 29

The Ohio University community is invited to a screening of A Separation, as part of the 2017-18 “Travel Ban” Countries Film Series, at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, in Grover W135.

The event features introductory comments by Dr. Loren Lybarger, Associate Professor of Classics & World Religions, who will also moderate a brief Q&A after the screening. Directed by Asghar Farhadi (2011), this film narrates the story of a couple as the negotiate their relationship, their everyday lives, and legal system of their society.

This screening represents the Iran installment of the 2017-18 “Travel Ban” Countries Film Series. The event is organized by the Middle East and North Africa Studies and Islamic Studies certificate programs. It is co-sponsored with the departments of History, Classics & World Religions, and Political Science, the African Studies Program, the Center for Law, Justice, and Culture, the Contemporary History Institute, the War and Peace Theme, the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, and the Office of Global Affairs and International Studies at Ohio University.
