Showalter Gets Kopchick Award for Effects of MicroRNA on Breast Cancer Metastasis

Christian Showalter, graduate student in Biological Sciences and the Molecular and Cellular Biology program, received a John J. Kopchick Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB)/Translational Biomedical Sciences (TBS) Research Fellowship Award.

He received $14,747 for his project on “Effects of MicroRNA on Breast Cancer Metastasis through the Bloodstream.”

His adviser for the project is Dr. Monica Burdick.
