In anticipation of the 2017 solar eclipse, Ohio University astronomers Dr. Doug Clowe and Dr. Hee-Jong Seo from Physics & Astronomy provide a public talk about solar eclipses on Sunday, Aug. 20, from 3 to 4 p.m., on the Athens campus in Morton Hall 201.

They will discuss solar eclipses, eclipse safety, and a little history of eclipses in preparation for the solar eclipse taking place the following day. There will be ample time for questions.

The solar eclipse takes place on Monday, Aug. 21.
